Abstract

On July 17th 2007, the Government of Nepal, through its Department of Drug Administration (DDA) released its Guidelines on Ethical Promotion of Medicine. This paper examines the release of these guidelines and examine the response to it to explore the discourses around, and the vested interests in the pharmaceutical sector in the context of Nepal.
