Dissemination of Calliandra calothyrsus in Marangu, Mshiri, Masai villages in Moshi Rural District, Tanzania
Abstract
Fodder species were introduced to the named villages, namely Calliandra callothyrsus, Sesbania sesban, Leucaena spp, Flamingia macrophyla and Napier grass to alleviate fodder shortages and increase milk production. This report documents an informal survey carried out to determine whether, 3 years after the introduction of these species, farmers were still growing these fodder crops.
