Dynamic Contextual Analysis. A context specific approach to understanding barriers to and opportunities for change.
Abstract
The approach to Dynamic Contextual Analysis (DCA) described in this guide (second edition) has been developed specifically to generate understandings about the importance of contextual influences (political, socioeconomic, community, interpersonal and programmatic) on young people's sexual and reproductive health, and to explore the interplay between them. The chapters consider current understandings about sexual and reproductive health and look in detail at how a DCA takes place and, in particular, how it maintains a focus on the contexts in which young people live and develop. They also provide guidance on reporting and disseminating the findings and recommendations of a DCA study. A list of resources available on the internet is also included.
