Abstract
This response to a DEWPoint helpdesk enquiry discusses the possible returns of DFID investing in global knowledge and innovation for the delivery of water and sanitation services. It reports on the evaluation framework and assessment of enabling factors. It provides examples of research and innovation to support policy development, resource mobilization, pro-poor programmes, technologies, the private sector, promotion, resilience to climate change, and progress measurement.
This report was produced by DEW Point, a Resource Centre for Environment, Water and Sanitation, that was funded by DFID and managed by a consortium of companies led by Harewelle International Limited. The Resource Centre closed in 2012.
