El Enfoque Participativo en Cadenas Productivas: Estimulando la innovación pro-pobre en la cadena productiva [The Participatory focus in production chains: Stimulating pro-poor innovation in productive chain]

Abstract

Innovation in the food and agricultural sectors often stagnates for lack of trust and communication between actors in the supply chain. To overcome these problems and stimulate innovation, the Participatory Market Chain Approach (PMCA) board to small farmers, market agents and service providers for a facilitated interaction process. PMCA uses a three-stage participatory process to improve communication, build trust and facilitate collaboration among participants so that together they can identify, analyse and exploit new market opportunities.
