Abstract

The following report, an attachment to the final report (Encouraging CDM energy projects to aid poverty alleviation: Final report) of project R8037 (Encouraging clean development mechanism energy projects to aid poverty alleviation) deals with two main issues. The first relates to the capacity building requirements for the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) small-scale project implementation and for CDM in general and the second is the institutional structures for small-scale CDM projects in developing countries. The results reported here are based on discussions held with participants of the final workshops for the CAPA project held in 2003. It also draws on the experiences from the first workshops.
