Energy Efficiency and Poverty Alleviation: Final Report.

Abstract

This report sets out to contextualise the research problem with reference to poverty, air pollution and energy use; identify those activities and sub-sectors in industry, commerce and domestic sectors, where interventions could generate direct benefits for the urban poor; identify energy intensive activities within these sub-sectors; assess the scope, benefits and constraints for targeting assistance; and make recommendations based on these findings.
