Abstract

This document describes coverage of prevention of mother-to-child transmission at the 3rd South African AIDS Conference held in Durban in June 2007, in the areas of preventative antiretroviral treatment, improved breastfeeding strategies, the development and monitoring of treatment failure, and improved access to alternative and second-line treatment. Large improvements were needed in the availability of prevention.
