Abstract
A concept paper emerging from the K(KStar) conference held in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, April 2012. It sets out the core concept and principles of K, in addition to describing a framework for thinking about K*, which will make sharing approaches and lessons learned easier. A series of short case studies from both developing and developed worlds are presented in the paper to demonstrate how different organizations work at the intersection of several different functions simultaneously.
