Abstract

A policy of free medical care for pregnant women was announced by the Ghanaian President in May 2008. Based on lessons learned from Immpact evaluation research in Ghana - \"The case for exempting pregnant women\", this briefing provides pointers to help provide a more comprehensive package of care than previously offered.
