Abstract

The Acacia Program Initiative’s mission is to support research on information and communication technologies that improve livelihood opportunities, enhance social service delivery, and empower citizens while building the capacity of African researchers and research networks.

This findings brief is based on the reports 'Acacia 2006-2010 Final Report' by the Acacia Program, April 2010, and 'External Review of the IDRC Acacia Program – Final Report'. The Acacia III budget of $64.9m was spread across 161 projects.
