Abstract

This document represents the final report of project R7093, 'The relevance of Nigerian farmers' responses to dryland farming systems in India and Southern Africa', which aimed to develop the 'Soils, Cultivars and Livelihood Approach' and to assess the relevance of this approach to analogous dryland environments in Zimbabwe and India. The report describes project activities and outputs, including the development of an integrated approach to analysing livelihoods based on natural resource management in semi-arid areas.
