Abstract

This report outlines findings from a study of access to finance and microfinance regulation in Tanzania. The research examines the challenges faced by micro-enterprises and informaleconomy businesses working in growth sectors of the economy, and their requirements for strengthening access to finance and consumer protection. Micro-entrepreneurs were the main focus of this research, although there are many other users of microfinance.
