Abstract

The aim of the research project in Kenya is to answer the question: What is the evidence of gender mainstreaming transforming efforts the institutions that deliver and support rural transport infrastructure and services? The Inception Report provides the context and rationale for gender mainstreaming research in Kenya.

The report describes activities undertaken during the Inception Phase, including literature review, and elaborates on the methodology and next steps towards the project’s fieldwork phase.

This report is part of Applied Research on Rural Roads and Transport Services through Community Access Programmes in Africa and Asia (AFCAP2 and AsCAP)
