Guide to participatory assessment of socio-ecological trade-offs and synergies of SAI practices
This is a facilitation guide
Abstract
This facilitation guide was developed by the ICRAF-led Bringing evidence to bear on negotiating ecosystem service and livelihood trade-offs in sustainable agricultural intensification in Tanzania, Ethiopia and Zambia research project. The guide aims to guide the workshop facilitator to:
- gather perspectives from various stakeholder groups on the influence of Sustainable Agricultural Intensification (SAI) practices on socio-ecological domains.
- identify key investments needed to minimize negative influence.
- identify key data needs to assess the tradeoffs and synergies.
- explore tradeoffs and synergies of the SAI practices.
This research is an output of the Sustainable Agricultural Intensification Research and Learning in Africa (SAIRLA) programme
