Abstract

The lead article in this issue focuses on sub-Saharan Africa, the only developing region where food security has worsened in recent decades. Monty Jones and Frances Kimmins explain why an alternative approach to Asia's Green Revolution is needed in Africa, due to differences in farming systems, climate and infrastructure.
