Impacts of climate change on health with respect to water, sanitation and hygiene: summary of publications.

This reports list publications from an international perspective and those referring to specific countries

Abstract

This response to a DEWPoint helpdesk enquiry aims to list academic papers and reports which describe the impacts on health of climate change. It focuses on the health impacts related to water, sanitation and hygiene. A summary of the findings resulting from a review of the literature is provided. This is followed by details of the reports and academic papers. Reports from an international perspective are listed first, followed by reports referring to specific countries. Where an abstract or summary has been provided by the reports’ authors, this is given. For reports describing climate change impacts generally, a summary of the impacts relating to water and sanitation has been given in italics.

This report was produced by DEW Point, a Resource Centre for Environment, Water and Sanitation, that was funded by DFID and managed by a consortium of companies led by Harewelle International Limited. The Resource Centre closed in 2012.
