Abstract

The purpose of the Project was to develop and disseminate an integrated pest and soil fertility management approach/strategy (IPSFM), in particular, against Striga, stemborers and declining soil fertility. The aim was to enhance food security, income generation and environmental sustainability, thereby reducing poverty in Lake Victoria basin of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. The result would be an overall improvement in the communities’ livelihood status.
