Integration of drinking water supply-sanitation and watershed development

Abstract

The central objective of this study was to review the status of demand and supply of water for consumptive and productive uses with special emphasis on drinking water supplies and access to the rural poor within the selected watersheds in India. The linkage and effect of watershed development on WSS (water supply and sanitation) and also the impact of external environment including socio-economic, political, institutional and administrative environments at different levels have been studied.
