Interrogating China’s biotechnology revolution: contesting dominant science policy cultures in the risk society
Abstract
This chapter discusses the development and use of genetic engineering in China. It is suggested that the embrace of biotechnology is not as unequivocal as much global discourse suggests,a nd that biotechnology commercialized in China is not the undisputed success its advocates claim. Owing to copyright restrictions, only the first 3 pages are attached, together with a link to the book at Zed Books.
