Learning for change: a logical approach for fodder innovation?
This article describes the 'learning by doing' approach used for the DFID-funded Fodder Innovation Project
Abstract
This article describes the ‘learning by doing’ approach used for the DFID-funded Fodder Innovation Project (FIP II). This project has provided valuable lessons in building innovation capacity to address fodder scarcity. The approach enabled FIP to be flexible enough to follow up on emerging opportunities as well as to recognise unexpected outcomes. The challenges associated with carrying out the monitoring and evaluation on this innovation project using the Logical Framework Approach, as required by DFID, are highlighted.
