Literature review on the impact of business incubation, mentoring, investment and training on start-up companies.

This review focuses on the impact of financial and non-financial support on start-up business growth

Abstract

Enterprises have been praised as the engine of economic growth, playing a critical role at the heart of entrepreneurship, especially in developing countries. But despite their enormous potential, enterprises face several challenges related to access to resources, finances and services, which limit their potential for growth. The focus of this review is on the impact of financial and non-financial support on start-up business growth. What types of start-ups benefit most from this support and how their subsequent ‘success’ has been defined.
