Livelihoods on the Lo river, Vietnam.
Abstract
Findings indicated that cage culture of freshwater fish is an important livelihood option for the poorest sections of a community. It can become a source of daily income and integrates well with other livelihood activities. However, there has recently been a decline in the number of households practising cage aquaculture. The high incidence of fish diseases and the current financial loan system need to be improved.
