Memorias del taller: Hacia una Estrategia de Incidencia en Política [Workshop Proceedings: Towards a Strategy of Impact on Policy]

Abstract

Andean Change is an alliance of organizations that promotes learning in the Andean Region on the use of participatory approaches in order to influence policies consistent with the demands of agricultural innovation, thus contributing to the formulation of policies in line with the realities and world views of small farmers. During the strategies workshop, the importance of interlacing strategic communication and the assessment and impact to work in policy advocacy was discussed, understanding that the collection of evidence and the ways of communicating the subject are essential for building realistic and persuasive arguments to present to policy makers. Furthermore, the methodological structure of policy advocacy was validated in each of the steps in the formulation of a plan for the Program Andean Change.
