Methods for identifying and monitoring river flow drought in southern Africa

Abstract

Improved methods for the identification of river flow droughts in southern Africa are investigated in this paper, and tools to assist in the realistic determination of the severity of droughts and to provide effective means of monitoring droughts as they develop, are considered.
