Monitoring, sustainability and risk management strategies of livelihood improvement for the poor in Kumasi peri-urban interface.

Abstract

This report documents research which aimed to monitor and gauge the sustainability and risk associated with the livelihood activities promoted by the project in the peri-urban interface.

The report concludes that rural attitudes and practices persist amongst the poor at the expense of potentially beneficial new livelihood strategies because these new strategies are perceived as being too risky.
