Moving Beyond Research to Inform Policy in Developing Countries.

Abstract

This study examined current modes of communication and dissemination between researchers and policymakers. It was conducted in four countries: Malawi, Tanzania, India and Pakistan. Information was collected via 48 in-depth interviews with health researchers and policymakers responsible for developing health policy. The implications of the research are briefly discussed in terms of the strategies for researchers, policymakers and practitioners, and donors, and collaborative strategies.
