Moving beyond single-issue priority setting: associations between gender inequality & HIV infection, early pregnancy and higher fertility in Malawi

What are the multiple vulnerabilities that women face and what are the implications for HIV programme priority-setting? The findings presented in this poster by Heidi Stöckl show the many overlaps between different indicators of gender inequality and highlights the need to move away from single outcome comparisons and consider the multiple benefits of gender focused interventions.
