Abstract

The National Employment Fund, or 'Fonds National de l'Emploi' (FNE), was established in Tunisia in December 1999. Its aim is to help the most vulnerable categories of unemployed people to find productive long-term employment. The objectives, lessons learned, background, details, implementation, and impacts are outlined.
