Navigating Civic Spaces in Mozambique Baseline Report

This report explores the role of civil society organisations under the context of the recent history of Mozambique

Abstract

This report explores the role of civil society organisations (CSOs) under the context of the recent history of Mozambique, arguing that civic spaces before the arrival of Covid-19 should be observed in the framework of the retrospective analysis of the socioeconomics and political dynamics, including social/political participation, in which the frustrations, struggles, tensions and conflicts of civic actors are the result of authoritarianism, marginalization and social exclusion in the country.
