Pathways Latin America Synthesis Report 2006-2011
Abstract
This report provides highlights of some of the activities and research undertaken over the past five years. The researchers sought to understand how social, political and economic changes have contributed to women's struggles, and how these changes and processes have resonated in the pathways of empowerment of different kinds of women. Studies ranged from inter-regional and national-level comparative research to ethnographic and action research in the locality of Salvador. The work confirmed the crucial role of collective action in advancing institutional changes that promote women's empowerment.
