Abstract

Brief notes on the background to and aims of this study are provided. Data was collected between 1998 and 2000 by interviews with Malawi policy makers and programme managers to gain insight into strategic aims of policies for young people's reproductive health. Focus groups were held with young people, interviews were carried out with young people and services providers, and textual analysis of written policy and field notes was conducted. The findings and policy implications are discussed.
