Policy for development in Africa: Learning from Southeast Asia

Abstract

By studying the historical turning points in the development of Southeast Asian countries, it may be possible to identify the policy preconditions for development success. It is suggested that African policy-makers should be encouraged by all appropriate means to promote pro-poor agricultural development.
