Research on health reforms in Ghana and their effects on sexual and reproductive health services is briefly described. It was found that funding was often being targeted inappropriately. Recommendations are made for addressing this problem. [Based on the article by S.H. Mauhew and S. Adjei: ‘Sexual and reproductive health: challenges for priority-setting in Ghana’s health reforms’, Health Policy and Planning (2004) 19 (Suppl. 1: Sexual and reproductive health and health systems development) pp. 50-61].
