Abstract

This training course comprises sessions on identification of tuberculosis (TB) suspects, diagnosis of TB cases, categorizing patients and prescribing TB treatment, registering patients and managing contacts, patient follow-up at the hospital or clinic, and encouraging compliance and managing patients who interrupt treatment. As well as instructions/recommendations for doctors it includes role-playing sessions, copies of forms such as those for requesting tests or recording treatment, and questions and exercises on what has been learned.
