Rapid review of programmes for women and girls’ economic empowerment

This rapid review was commissioned by the Nepal office of the Department for International Development

Abstract

This rapid review of programmes for the economic empowerment for women and girls draws on global practice. It reviews the literature on programmes being implemented in different contexts which share some characteristics with Nepal and its sub-regions, to identify successful examples across different thematic areas that can inform a comprehensive portfolio of work that meets the needs and promotes the potential of different groups of women and girls across Nepal.

There is a separate annex on the economic empowerment for women and girls drawing on global practice to inform programme work in Nepal
