Report summary: Children on the move: Rural-urban migration and access to education in Mongolia

Abstract

This briefing summarises the findings of CHIP research on migration and children's access to education in Mongolia. It argues that unless the effects of migration on children are addressed more systematically, the goal of education for all Mongolian children by 2015 will not be realised. The briefing makes a range of recommendations as to how migrant and non-migrant children's educational opportunities may be enhanced.
