Research Project for Establishment of Appropriate Design Standards for Low Volume Sealed Roads in Kenya: Design Report.

Abstract

A proposal was formulated to research he application of the Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) Design Method in Kenya with the overall objective to support rural development through establishment of appropriate low volume sealed roads (LVSR) pavement design standards which in turn can facilitate the expansion of the paved rural road network. This report describes how the project aims to design and construct five test sections in Central Province.
