Abstract

This presentation introduces the work of DND** in developing new drugs (for leishmaniasis, sleeping sickness, Chagas' disease and malaria), lists a number of drugs being developed in partnership with pharmaceutical companies, and describes the development of patent pools (consortia of at least two companies agreeing to cross-license patents relating to a particular technology) to promote the development of drugs against these diseases.
