Rural Road Planning and Prioritisation Model, User Guide

This manual was developed as a web-based application tool run from the GIS web portal of the Local Government Engineering Department

Abstract

The Rural Road Planning and Prioritisation Model (RPPM) software has been developed for planning and prioritisation of rural roads developed and maintained by the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED). It is developed as a web-based application tool run from the GIS web portal of LGED. This guide is intended to assist LGED officials in using RPPM. It also provides guidance on how to prepare data for use by RPPM. RPPM is based on the methodology developed for the project “Planning and Prioritisation of Rural Roads in Bangladesh”. The project was implemented under the ReCAP research programme funded by UK Aid.

This work is part of the Applied Research on Rural Roads and Transport Services through Community Access Programmes in Africa and Asia (AFCAP2 and AsCAP)
