Social vulnerability in three high poverty climate change hotspots: what does the climate change literature tell us?

Reviews 3 climate change hot spots in Africa and Asia

Abstract

Reviews the knowledge on social vulnerability to climate change in 3 areas (deltas, semi-arid regions and snowpack- or glacier-fed river basins) in Africa, Central Asia and South Asia, using systematic review methods. All 3 areas are characterized by high levels of natural resource dependence, with increasing environmental degradation.
