Abstract

A report on the findings of a survey conducted by JSRP researchers in Western Equatoria State, South Sudan. The survey is based on a representative sample of 433 individuals in Ezo County and the two southernmost payams of Tambura County. The survey was designed to provide data for the following lines of enquiry: 

  • the impact of community-driven development programming on trust in government and on willingness to contribute to public goods. 
  • perceptions of security and fear of attack in relation to local radio broadcasts 
  • experiences of violence and the consequent impact on political participation 
  • the ongoing effects of the historical Zande Cotton Scheme.
