South Sudan 2013 Survey Report: First round, May 2013
Findings of a survey conducted by the Justice and Security Research Programme in Western Equatoria State
Abstract
A report on the findings of a survey conducted by JSRP researchers in Western Equatoria State, South Sudan. The survey is based on a representative sample of 433 individuals in Ezo County and the two southernmost payams of Tambura County. The survey was designed to provide data for the following lines of enquiry:
- the impact of community-driven development programming on trust in government and on willingness to contribute to public goods.
- perceptions of security and fear of attack in relation to local radio broadcasts
- experiences of violence and the consequent impact on political participation
- the ongoing effects of the historical Zande Cotton Scheme.
