Stranded nations? Transition risks and opportunities towards a clean economy

This academic paper uses network analysis to study the diversification / green growth opportunities in high-carbon sectors

Abstract

This academic paper, published in Environmental Research Letters, uses network analysis to study the diversification / green growth opportunities in high-carbon sectors. We do this by identifying adjacent non-polluting activities into which high-carbon sectors can progress. We find that countries with complex high-carbon activities should find it relatively easy to find adjacent low-carbon activities.
