STRIVE Learning Lab 22: Evaluating combination HIV prevention

Abstract

We need to understand what HIV-prevention programmes work and why. Cluster randomized designs have limitations in evaluating complex large-scale combination programmes. To close the prevention-evaluation gap, we need

  • alternative ways to do evaluations
  • better analysis of the pathways and mechanisms of impact
  • better documentation of programme implementation

As well as the video, presentation slides are available as a PDF file.
