Survey Report: Cambodian Public Opinion on Tobacco Control, 2006

Abstract

This study was conducted from May to August 2006 in four provinces of Cambodia. It had a large sample of 2,025 respondents and can be used as representative of the national opinion on tobacco control issues. The objectives of this research study were to clearly understand the public’s opinion on the following issues:

  • Smoking awareness,
  • Smoke Free Area Policies,
  • Health Warning Labels,
  • Advertising Bans,
  • Tobacco Control measures such as introducing tobacco product taxation.
