Technical Note 26. Young Lives Longitudinal Qualitative Research: A Guide for Researchers

Abstract

This is the fieldwork guide for the longitudinal qualitative research carried out within Young Lives. This part of the Young Lives study is tracking 50 children in each study country (Ethiopia, India, Peru and Vietnam), using a case-study approach to document their changing life trajectories over time. The Guide gives a short description of our rationale and ways of working, together with descriptions of all the methods used. Further details of how the research was implemented are contained in the fieldwork guide for each data collection round (Technical Notes 27, 28, and 29).
