The politics of regulation.
Abstract
This book suggests that the scope and breadth of regulatory reforms since the mid-1980s and particularly during the 1990s, are so striking that they necessitate a reappraisal of current approaches to the study of the politics of regulation. The authors call for the adoption of different and fresh perspectives to examine this area. The contents are divided into two parts: Part I: Theories of Regulation for the Age of Governance, and Part II: Comparative Perspectives on the Politics of Regulation. Contributors are: D. Geradin, F. Gilardi, N. Jabko, J. Jordana, C. Knill, A. Lenschow, D. Levi-Faur, M. Lodge, J.A. McCahery, I. McLean, A. Ogus, D. Sancho, P. Schmidt, V. Schneider, C. Scott, and M. Tenbücken.
