This report is based on a household survey carried out in some of the squatter settlements in Kathmandu, Nepal, in 2015. The purpose of this report is to highlight the perceptions and experiences of torture and ill treatment in low-income population groups.
This work is part of the research project ‘A Comparative Analysis of the Documentation of Torture and Ill-Treatment in Low-Income Countries’ supported by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and UK Department for International Development.
