Abstract

Leucaena shannonii subsp. magnifica and L. collinsii subsp. zacapana, two new subspecies endemic to south-eastern Guatemala, are described and illustrated. Detailed distribution maps of the two taxa are presented along with notes on their ecology, economic potential and conservation status.
