Two remarkable new fungi on pine from Central America

Abstract

The coelomycete Rubikia samsonii gen. et sp.nov., a saprophyte on fallen dead needles, and the ascomycete Ocotomyces parasiticus gen. et sp.nov., with its cupulate coelomycete anamorph Uyucamyces parasiticus gen. et sp.nov., causing a canker disease of young living branches and stems, are described, illustrated and discussed.
